It is high time we ditch China and Chinese dependency

Description: These are some tested times, and one thing is apparent out of this. Chinese Aggression is a serious matter, and it is breathing down on our necks.

Before going further, there is one thing I want to mention: this write-up has got nothing against and not targeted towards the people of China but seriously questions the motives and actions of the Chinese Government.

COVID-19 and Chinese Aggression

I believe people need to understand the gravity of the situation, the imminent global recession, and China taking full advantage of this catastrophe. Similar to a world War where one sees massive destruction, widespread sorrow, and deaths everywhere, the prevailing picture of the world is something like that. The United States of America, known for her military and economic might has a death count of 219,675, and more than 7 million infected cases along with other developed economies facing a similar predicament. The Chinese government is taking advantage of this whole situation to implement its expansionist policies strategically. It has started by influencing WHO, investing in the whole world buying large corporations at low prices, and putting the crumbling economies into its debt.

Hush-hush talks on Indo-China Border Crisis

It is quite shocking actually how the masses and governments around the world are feigning ignorance towards the recent tension in Galwan Valley. It has seen the two most populous countries in the world, clashing head to head against each other. Even though the world appears to be quite relatively blasé about this standoff, this Indo-China border crisis deserves far more attention in its own right. Very few are aware that the entire of 3488 kilometers of the border area between Indian and China is the largest of such within the world to be disputed.

The entire point of giving this overview and further stressing on the issue of LAC, Galwan valley, and clash with Chinese troops, is to convince the readers of the imminent crisis looming over our heads. Now more than ever we need to cut down the usage of Chinese apps and goods that can help diminish China’s financial prowess. Usage of Chinese applications has been banned in India, but such is not the case with the rest of the world.

Quad Leaders: Donald Trump, Narendra Modi, Yoshihide Suga and Scott Morrison

With the QUAD partners of India, Japan, Australia, and the USA joining hands and working in unison to fight against China’s expansionist policies, economies around the world need to cut down their dependency towards China for strategic goods. World leaders across the globe need to propagate this agenda on a larger scale to coerce the general masses, to do so as well.

The world is heading towards a Cold War-like situation, and it is high time that the governments around the world work together to end the control of Xi Jinping and his government on the global supply chain. Of course, this will be not an easy job to get done particularly in the face of the predictive global recession, but it is also not impossible. There are economies around the world (for instance, India) that can replace China as the world’s factory and steps need to be taken to make that a reality.

Are Delhi Earthquakes signaling towards a bigger one?

Delhi has experienced 11 mild earthquakes since May and seismologists say that this may or may not signal towards the occurrence of a bigger one in the near future. This is because Delhi does not lie on any fault lines of the tectonic plates so it makes it hard to predict but then again the Himalayan region is one of the most seismically active regions of the world. A bigger one can happen unannounced. According to Harsh Gupta, a foremost expert on earthquakes, the government must not wait till the last minute and make the structures earthquake resistant with proper evacuation measures in place.

People need to follow prescribed drills and know where to run if at home, office, or open spaces during an earthquake.  Government officials need to promote meaningful, clear, concise information regarding the drill procedures through internet and TV channels and stop the circulation of half-baked information that goes around.
